Simple by Design

There is a method to the madness, and what we teach is simple — yet effective — by design. Until recently, firearms training primarily consisted of techniques that were adapted from PPC bullseye style shooting competitions. These techniques allowed shooters to excel at hitting bullseye targets from a static position on a flat range, however, these same techniques did not always smoothly transition into the realm of combat shooting where officers found themselves in unpredictable and unconventional positions. Shooting a gun is not natural to the human species, and in order to get the most out of our students, we teach techniques that are designed to work with the physiology and psychology of the human body and mind — not against it.

Back to Basics

Throughout the years, equipment and shooting styles continue to evolve and grow. What was considered “en vogue” several years ago is now laughed at today. Regardless of what gun you shoot or what stance you’ve grown comfortable with, we believe that accurate shooting comes down to how well you implement the basics into your training. The goal is to get to a point where marksmanship fundamentals become second nature to a shooter, just as throwing a punch becomes second nature to a seasoned boxer.

Train Hard, Fight Easy

Although what we teach is simple in nature, it is not necessarily easy to master. That depends on you. As with any discipline — be it martial arts, sports, or even cooking — the amount of work that a shooter is willing to invest will ultimately determine their level of success. Unfortunately, there are no magic bullets or trade secrets in shooting. Implementing solid techniques, as taught by a competent instructor, and putting in the right amount of effort will yield great results for shooters of all levels.
